Community Intervention Services (CIS) understands that community needs often exceed or are not supported by funded programs. To address these this service gap, CIS implements community engagement activities throughout the year. We strive to support community thrive in more ways than one. Support our efforts to provide immediate service interventions and systems navigation assistance to South LA communities.

Pop- Up Resource Fairs
​Community Intervention Services (CIS) has met our community where it's at since our founding in 2023.
​
One of our primary community engagement activities is the pop-up resource fair. Housing insecurity and the numbers of unhoused individuals has increased markedly in Los Angeles in recent years.
Community Intervention Services has remained steadfast in our efforts to provide resource information and assistance to community members as they navigate access to an essential human need.
​
At our pop-up resource fairs, we provide housing, employment, and other resource information and assistance as available. Additionally we provide much needed supportive service interventions in the form of hygiene kits, school supplies and other resources as available.

Annual Fundraising Event (Fall)
Adopt-A-Friend
On December 12, 2024 Community Intervention Services, Inc. (CIS) will host our first annual Adopt-A-Friend event in Los Angeles. Community Intervention Service's mission is to strengthen low-income communities in South Los Angeles through community-based safety initiatives, human capital investment, and community economic development.

To accomplish these goals, the team at Community Intervention Services promotes community-based safety initiatives; implements wraparound case management services and engages in direct service interventions at community and individual levels to promote the holistic health and development of South Los Angeles residents and communities.
As part of our Adopt-A-Friend event, CIS provides new hygiene kits, pajamas, robes, coats, jackets, hoodies, sweatshirts, socks, slippers, sweaters, undergarments, t-shirts, beanies, gowns, and gloves to our 60 clients in need of assistance. In order for us to be successful in our efforts, we are asking you to be a part of this great holiday celebration by providing monetary and/or in-kind donations.

Annual Fundraising Event (Summer)
Summer Book Drive
Summer 2025, CIS will launch our first annual Summer book drive. We aim to provide reading books, workbooks, and other items to youth to support fun and education during time out of school and combat summer learning loss. Details to be announced.
